The future of compounding starts here.

One automated platform for the whole dispensary: 3D-printed dosage forms, blister filling and capsule filling, with quality control built into every unit. Pharmacy-first, built on more than a decade of hospital, university and clinical research, and brought to U.S. compounding by Pete Pharma.

The FabRx M3DIMAKER pharmaceutical 3D printer
How it works

Load → Print → Harden → Dispense

Traditional compounding means weighing, mixing, encapsulating, polishing and logging. Pharmaceutical 3D printing reduces the whole workflow to four steps, and the printer does three of them.

STEP 1LoadFill a syringe with the anhydrous base, or use a prefilled cGMP ink
STEP 2PrintSoftware optimizes extrusion; up to 400 tablets per tray
STEP 3HardenPrinted forms set in the mold, no blisters or sealing
STEP 4DispenseStraight into a standard prescription bottle
  • Prepare the anhydrous base and fill the syringe, or use a prefilled cGMP syringe ink (coming soon): consistent viscosity, no mixing errors, no batch failures.
  • Load the syringe. M3DIMAKER Studio reads the protocol and optimises extrusion for the formula.
  • Print into the mold. Up to 400 tablets at a time; each one weighed as it is made.
  • Harden and dispense into standard prescription bottles. No blister packing, no sealing, no cold-pack shipping.

One ecosystem

Three technologies on one platform.

Technology 13D printingSemi-solid extrusion deposits pharma-ink into cavity trays: tablets, ODTs, strips, nasal rinse tablets, chewables, troches, suppositories and veterinary treats, up to 400 per tray.
Technology 2Blister fillingThe same platform loads blister packs automatically, with each cavity tracked, for unit-dose packaging without a separate machine or a technician on the line.
Technology 3Capsule fillingSemi-solid and pellet fills dispensed straight into capsules with precision and repeatability, replacing hand-filled capsule machines and the weighing that goes with them.
Why pharmacies are switching

Less labor, lower costs, proven technology.

Massive efficiency gains

Print up to 300 dosage forms in about 10 minutes with minimal technician touch time. Remove blister packing, sealing time and cold-pack shipping logistics, and dispense directly into standard Rx bottles.

Lower input costs

Our anhydrous excipients cost less than traditional capsule bases and provide better stability, with a 6-month beyond-use date on the proprietary bases.

Proven, validated technology

Built on more than ten years of FabRx clinical research. USP dissolution and potency testing completed on every formula. The first clinical studies of 3D-printed personalised medicines were published in 2019.

Built-in quality control

Every unit checked. Automatically.

Conventional compounding checks a sample and trusts the batch. The M3DIMAKER weighs and records every single tablet as it is made, holds the flow steady while it prints, and writes the batch record for you. The QC step that used to follow production simply disappears into it.

M3DIMAKER™ Studio

Compounding made easy.

One interface runs the whole process. Scan the prescription protocol, load the syringe, press print. Studio optimises extrusion for the formula, records every weight, prints the label and files the batch record. Unlimited users, no per-seat fees, and every Pete Pharma formula arrives as a ready-to-run protocol.

Credibility

The M3DIMAKER platform was developed by FabRx, founded by world experts in pharmaceutical 3D printing from University College London, and refined over a decade with collaborators including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, Erasmus MC, the University of Cambridge, Monash University, Pfizer and AstraZeneca. Its first clinical studies of 3D-printed personalised medicines were published in 2019. Pete Pharma brings the platform, validated formulas and bases to U.S. compounding.

ROI snapshot for pharmacies

The math changes on day one.

One pharmacy’s numbers for a single common formula, capsules versus printed tablets, over a year. Bring your own volumes to a demo and we will run them with you.

MetricCapsules3D printingDifference
Annual labor$30,625$5,100−$25,525
Material cost$19,600$15,925−$3,675
Annual profit$96,775$125,975+$29,200

Based on 2,450 scripts per year at a $60 average selling price.

The partnership model

You produce. You profit. We earn only when you earn.

No software fees, no user fees, no maintenance fees. Pete Pharma’s incentives are aligned with the pharmacy’s from the first print.

  • Dissolution and potency testing completed on every formula
  • Onsite installation and workflow integration
  • Unlimited software users on the printer
  • Prescriber- and patient-facing marketing materials
  • A partner portal with every formula, mold spec and support request in one place
★★★★★

The M3DIMAKER completely changed how we compound. What used to take hours now takes minutes. The quality is consistent, the workflow is simple, and the ROI was obvious after just one month.
